James began his design and construction career over 20 years ago when he first started working in live theatre. During his tenure in theatre James worked on over 200 productions designing lighting, scenery, props, or overseeing construction aspects of those productions.

After nearly 15 years in the professional theatre industry, he met his future wife and moved to California, where he began using the knowledge and skills he’d gained in theatre to design and create custom projects for people’s homes.
